+1 <br /> MASHPEE CONSERVATION CO1 IISSION <br /> Minutes of 25 August 1995 <br /> commissioners present: GertrudeSimmons-Ferriday, Harry <br /> esrrosiers, John Johansen, John <br /> Fitzsimmons, Frank Homeyer. <br /> Also present were Conservation Agent Robert Sherman, <br /> Assistant Thomas Sevigny and Associate Member tber } obert Lopez , <br /> 6:55 PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: None. <br /> FIREWORKS BY GRUCCI for a Determination of <br /> Applicability on a proposed fireworks display at Po ponesset <br /> Inn. Jane Reed presenting. , A brief display of 4 to <br /> minutes is proposed for a wedding celebration on September <br /> 24 , "Dere will be no digging on the beach; wooden racks will <br /> hold the mortars. The maximum shell is six inches, The Fire <br /> Department has been contacted for permits. Wooden racks will <br /> be carried down to the beach by hand or rolled on a board. <br /> Everything will be removed immediately after the display. <br /> Mr, Sherman asked if the debris would be picked up Ms Reed <br /> stated the large debris is collected and the smaller pieces <br /> of paper are cleaned up as much as possible. <br /> Mr* Sherman questioned the access to the beach that would be <br /> used; the Commission cannot give permission for access,. <br /> The Commission could dive a negative determination contingent <br /> upon information on access being provided. <br /> Mr. Fitzsimmons stated debris could be still smoldering when <br /> it comes back down and asked if the Fire Marshall was <br /> contacted? <br /> Ms Reed stated one fire truck and four firefighters are <br /> required to be at the site of the display. They will angle <br /> the fireworks out over the water. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated fire department approval and access can be <br /> conditioned. <br /> Ms Reed advised the mortars will all be above the High dater <br /> Mark. <br /> Public comments were requested: none. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to find a Negative <br /> Determination pending the Agent's review of the <br /> project with the Fire Department; signature on the <br /> attestation form; notification regarding access to <br /> the beach; and subject to an inspection the following <br /> clay to be sure all debris has been cleaned up. <br /> NEGATIVE PENDING. <br /> 7:10 CARL Kms, 20 Heron Way, continued from 14 July 1994 . <br /> Tack Landers--Gainey presenting with Dick Schraeder and the <br />
