. , 18 January 1978 MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF HEALTH No cesspool construction permits issued for the week. On Monday, 16 January t7$, Charles F. Buckingham I • accompanied by Michael McGrath had an appointment in Boston with the representative of the U.S.G.S. , Mr. LeBlanc to discuss the water table and other hydrolic information available describing the hydrolic conditions that the U.S.G.S. has determined in the Town Landfill facility area.There is a U.S.G.S, test well in the Landfill located to the left of the entrance which the U.S .G.S. last monitor6d-om 76/03/10. They have offered the use of this well or any other wells that they control to assist usin any hydrolic study we under- take. The Board of Health in looking for an organization within the Town which might be willing to take charge of and operate an area within the Disposal Area for the purpose of reclamation of paper and glass. Mr. Holmes, Mr. McGrath and Mr. Buckingham appeared before the Selectmen at their meeting ti discuss with them the plans for use of the disposal area. At this time the Selectmen were informed that in the opinion of the Board of Health that an area in TowiL should be set aside for use as a Town well field and that the Board of Health will duscuss this matter with the planning Board at their next meeting. The notice of assignment for the Disposal Area was • published in the Enterprise and the Cape Cod Standard Times on 17 January t7$. On this date, the publication regarding septage permits was also published in both papers. A letter was sent to Paula Magnuson of the C.C.P.D. & E. requesting that she consider proposing the Jphns Pond area as a pilot study for Lake Management for all -of Cape Cod.
