Librariant Librarian' s report was accepted as presented. <br /> B. Friends: Mrs. Fordham reminded us of the book sale and <br /> silent auction on December 13th and 14th. <br /> Mrs,, Fordham, Miss Tanneyhill and Mr. Shaughnessy have a <br /> appointment to discuss our application for a grant with <br /> the Kelley Foundation on December 12th at 2 p. . <br /> C. Buildin ommitte : Three bids for furnishings were opened <br /> on December 5th. The lowest bid was slightly more than <br /> $54,000. Carpeting and draperies still have to be <br /> considered. Some adjustments and decisions may have to b <br /> made in these areas& <br /> Mr. McLaughlin will provide the librarian with a list of <br /> the number and type of windows. <br /> D. Sub-,Committee on Furnishings and ui ent Report was <br /> covered in building committee report* <br /> IV Correspondence <br /> Budget charts were presented. <br /> V Unfinished Business <br /> Telephone equipment will not be included in budget. <br /> The library aide- will proceed to Step 2, and receive a <br /> cost of living increase. The library assistant will receive <br /> the % cost of living . increase only, unless the position is <br /> reclassified at the request of the trustees. <br /> There was no change in budget voted at the December 1st <br /> town meeting* <br /> The librarian is seeking estimates from cleaning companies <br /> for three dans a week service, and semi-,annual cleaning of <br /> rugs and windows. <br /> V1 e Business <br /> The historical society advised us that in order to prepare its <br /> budget by January 2nd, it was necessary to know what <br /> furnishings would remain in the old building. The trustees <br /> decided that a number ofarticles not needed in the new <br />
