BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES <br /> TEES <br /> REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING <br /> TUESDAYS JULY 99 2002 <br /> MAS EE LIBRARY MEETING Roots <br /> Present: Helene DeFoe,,David Burton, Ann MacDonald-Dailey,Dianna Smith, and <br /> Mimi Marsh. <br /> Absent: Gary Eynatlan, Carlo ' ste, and Alice Rappius <br /> ►.quorum being present at 6:45 p.n . David Burton, Chairman, called the meeting to <br /> order. <br /> AA val of Minutes of June 18, 2002 <br /> Mini noted the minutes state the meeting was called for 7 p.m. tonight but should have <br /> been for 6:30 p.m. Mimi motioned.that the minutes reflect the meeting to be at 6:30 p.m. <br /> for July ; Ann seconded this notion' and it was unammously passed. <br /> Dianna motioned to accept the June 18, 2002 minutes as corrected; this notion was <br /> seconded by Ann; and was unanimously passed. <br /> Reports <br /> Helene l: a 'oe, Library Director, distributed copies of her June 2002 Report and Janet <br /> Burke's monthly report. Both reports are attached to these minutes. In addition,Helene <br /> discussed the following.- <br /> Problems <br /> ollowing:Problems encountered with broken air conditioning unit. Today 7 inside <br /> temperature was 2° in meeting room area; 76 in adult section; and 78'in <br /> children's section. <br /> Customer satisfaction seems higher with longer loan period for video collection; <br /> in addition males return to shelving task easier. <br /> Collected over$11,000 in overdue ries—approximately $3,000 more over last <br /> year. David commented that he is going to look into possibility of Library being <br /> able to keep these rnoies in the future. <br /> Janet Burke has licked-off the Summer Reading Program <br /> Today's Quilting Program event was full; had to turn a few away. <br /> Friends of the Library bought 3 tuners for Internet stations—working smoothly <br /> thus far. <br />
