BOARD of LIBRARY TRUSTEES <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> THURSDAY,APS 19,2007 4 <br /> MASHPEE RAY <br /> Present: David Burton, Carlo D"Este,,Heather Lakatos,Nancy Soderberg,Dianna Smith,Nancy Stafford, <br /> Ann MacDonald-Daley(via conference call from Florida), and Helene Deoe,Library Director. <br /> Chairman David Burton called the meeting to order at :40 p.m. stating that the reason this Special Meeting <br /> was called is because the next several creeks are important to the future of the library in vier of the upcoming <br /> Town fleeting and Town Election votes asking for funds to support the library building project. David then <br /> advised the Trustees: <br /> The Friends of the Library have given permission to have 100 yard signs printed. The signs read: <br /> Vote Yes on Question 1 — Support your local library. Nancy Soderberg asked; Is there any type of <br /> town regulations about,signs. Response: 'These are placed on private property and are only temporary <br /> so it can be done. <br /> Shelly wrote a letter to the editor that he would like to have published in the Enterprise in the next <br /> eek or two. <br /> • Helene did a leer to the editor for the Mashpee Enterprise stating the benefits of the new library. <br /> • A.half-page ad will appear in the May 4 Mashpee Enterprise. <br /> • David distributed a copy of a half-page insert that will be handed out for the folk visiting the library. <br /> full page insert will be distributed in the Mashpee Enterprise as well, <br /> • David is submitting something'for publication in the Cape Cod Times as well. It was the consensus of <br /> the Trustees that he should request it be published in the Cape Cod Times the Wednesday before,the <br /> ballot election. <br /> • KristinBoyd's husband has new radio show and Shelly and David will go and sit down and here a 2- <br /> minute conversation with him during a broadcast on May 5. <br /> Yard Signs/Advertisements <br /> Anyone willing to place sign on their pfoprt , can pick up signs at the Library Meeting Room. David <br /> requested that anyone placing signs on propel please remove the signs after the ballot election date. <br /> • Ann said that with regard to Street signs, the Slakes who own the property across from New Seabury <br /> are supporters of the Library and Ann will arrange for signage to be put there. <br /> • Ann said she also ill inquire ab- <br /> whether or not the real estate office at the Mashpee Rotary would <br /> be willing to put a sign at the Rotary. <br /> • Ann advised that the New Seabury Newsletter placed inforrnatidn in last month's mailing and Ann <br /> requested additional info for this month. What about Mashpee tepee Commons publication...can anything , <br /> b insertd <br /> • Carlo added that we need a flyer that can be printed and,can also be distributed via email. He said <br /> maybe we'd need about 1.,000 printed copies because they should be handed out at Town Meeti <br />
