David said that Jack has been duly sworn in. <br /> AiDproval o _Min to <br /> Jane Solan motioned to accept the rm'n tes of the Meeting of June 10, 2008 as presented;Nancy Soderberg. <br /> seconded this motion; and the Board approved it, with John Kowalski abstaining. <br /> Reports <br /> Helene eFoe ubrtted her monthly report for June,the June CLAMS circulation report, an Over Drive <br /> Books report of checkouts from3/31/2008throw 6/30/2008, and Janet f urke's report for <br /> Downloadable � <br /> June. All reports are attached to toprinted set of these nminutes. <br /> The reports were reviewed and discussed. During the discussion period Helene advised the Trustees that: <br /> e . <br /> Signs info <br /> nning patrons of librarymove to South Cape village were posted at the old Library location <br /> as requested by the Board at the last Trustee meeting. <br /> Helene said that.lure is the last month of the fiscal year and the statistics show that business was down <br /> but that was understandable since the Library was closed for the move to Joy Street location and also <br /> last year Falmouth Library was closed for renovations and therefore we had a-huge volume increase <br /> from that source. Helene said that in the last week or,so things have gotten back to normal and we are <br /> Peking up a lot of new people getting library cards. <br /> Helene informed the Board that Over ve Downloadable Books replaced the Recorded.hooks <br /> supplier we had for one year and we opted not to renew with Recorded Books. We contracted with <br /> Over Drive. Boston Public uses Over give. Thus far it appears to be less expensive than Recorded <br /> 4 <br /> Books. Also,, we have more flexibility than we had under Recorded Books contract. Helene said that <br /> right noir Over ve does not work with mods but in the next couple of months it will work with <br /> ifods. <br /> Ren6 Read gave deadline of July I 1 to have everything moved out of the old library building. <br /> David Burton said that he is goingto meet with Ralph Bartlett to remove the shed from the old library site <br /> sometime next week. <br /> Helene mentioned that DPW may clear some of the vegetation from the old library site,which would be a cost <br /> y <br /> .savings. But if this work cannot be done until much later,than DPW would not be available. <br /> Summer Circulation Assistant...Helene informed the Trustees that teary Navicky started in this position on <br /> .dune 27 '. Helene said that during the interview with Mary it was obvious she had customer service skills and <br /> Mary hasalready proven to be an asset. Mary is a 19-hour summer employee. Nancy Soderberg asked <br /> whether or not Mary would be able to come back next summer. Helene said hopefully, if she were interested <br /> in coning next year. <br />
