i i MASHPEE CABLE AND ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY ADVBOARD Minutes of the Meeting of Tuesday, October 12,,'201 laahpee Torn Hall—conference Room I Members Present: Also Present: Andrew EIlas n David Del ecchlo, Director of Information Technology James Chisholm Tori Mayo, GIS Administrator Peter Cohen Joyce Mason, Town Manager Lolita McCray Chairman Andrew Eliason called the meeting to order at 24.05 PM. i ApRroval of Minutes James Chisholm made a motion to approve as presented the minutes of the meeting of 5/07/10. Andrew Eliason seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. Old Business 1. Additional Funds to Complete the"Wireless Backbone"bone" Up rade David DelVecchio stated that he needed an additional $4,661.to complete the upgrade. The Board agreed to reallocate the required $4,661 from the$230,000 appropriated for the telephone system upgrade. David DelVecchio stated that the phone upgrade will include the hardware, software, installation, and handsets for the high school, K.C. Coombs, Quashnet, Police and Fire Departments, Fire Substation, council on Aging, DPW, and Town Miall. 2, Valley Communications Tweaks for Tawn Hall control Room Improvements David DelVecchio stated that the original core switch quoted amount of$11� 546 did not include annual maintenance of$995.00. The Board agreed to reallocate $995.00 for warranty and Direct Network Services from the $230,000 appropriated funds for the telephone system upgrade. Andy Eliason inquired as to whether the wireless headphone system in the control r orn was functional, and David DelVecchio stated that it was. David DelVecchio stated that a meeting with Jay Paul from Malley Communications was tentatively scheduled for October 1 ', 2010, at 10:30 AMI to discuss MCAT problems and concerns re: the Town Hall Control Room. One of the issues for discussion was the possibility of broadcasting FIM radio during the executive session intermissions that occur during Town Board meetings. I Rewlicense cing Expiration i ,ice Mason reported that she has nothing new to report, having spoken to attorney Peter Epstein three weeks ago for a status report. Andrew Eliason stated that the license expired 10 months ago. According to Joyce Mason, the Town is holding out for a few items they feel strongly about, and the lawyer stated that there are no time constraints as far as reinstating the license is concerned.
