Murphy and Town Counsel Joseph <br /> Reardon <br /> GUESTS: Mark Forrest, Andrew El.iason and Board of Health .Members Elias <br /> McQuaid and George Costal <br /> The meeting convened at : 10 p.m. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Mr. Gottlieb moved to accept the minutes of the Regular and Executive <br /> Sessions of April 5 , 1988 and April 19 , 1988 with the following amendments <br /> April. 5 - Regular Session - page 3 . Articles 48 and 49 should read <br /> Mrs . Thomas rather than Mrs . Hanson <br /> April 19- Regular Session -- page 1 . Item 2 Carol Jacob.son voted as <br /> a member of the public and not as a member of the Conservation <br /> Commission . <br /> All were in favor. <br /> Oe ular Session was suspended at : 1 _Yt o go into Executive Session <br /> nd resumed at <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> z <br /> 1 . Mark Forrest of the Office o f Congressman Studds attended to <br /> receive an Update on the status of negotiations with National <br /> Guard Bureau relative to Briarwood. Discussion involving testing <br /> and why have they gone ahead. Board is waiting to get a response <br /> to heir letter -to Mr. Watson and to set up a meeting at which <br /> Mr. Forrest agreed to attend. <br /> Board of Health' - ' Joint meeting with Board sof Health and Selectmen <br /> to discuss 19 (.L ndfill Fees and tie fact that they will need to <br /> be raised in order to assist in the operation of the town landfill <br /> since the transfer station will not he offered to the town within <br /> the time period anticipated . <br /> Also mentioned was that the Department of Public works will be <br /> ready to maintain and operatethe lendfill as of July 1 , 1988 . <br /> Mr. Gottlieb mored to suggest to the Board of Health $25 . 00 for <br /> a residential landfill sticker. Mr. Hanson and Mr. Carter were opposed . <br /> Mr. Hanson then suggested $15 ,00- per year and $5 .00 per year for <br /> Senior Citizens . Mr. Carter agreed. Mrs . Thomas was opposed. <br />
