+r <br /> �r <br /> r` <br /> 0OARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> IUTES - REGULAR SESSION <br /> oNA , JUNE 200 1988 <br /> PRESENT: Selectmen Lawrence, Gottlieb, Hanson and Jacobson and Executive <br /> Secretary Joseph Murphy <br /> GUESTS : David Johnson, Dick Shaughnessy, Evelyn Buschenfeldt , <br /> Paul Somerville, Len Gobiel,, :E-rie Virgilio <br /> The meeting convened at 7 : 10 p.m. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Mr. Gottlieb roved to accept the minutes of June 6 , 1988 and Juane 13, 1988 <br /> Regular and Executive Ses ions . Mr. Hanson seconded the motion, Al l <br /> were in favor, <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS S �5 � <br /> 1 ' <br /> OL <br /> 1 . A hearing was held on the petition for acceptance of old Colony Drive. <br /> Mr. Murphy explained that the Town engaged in Engineering services to <br /> determine ghat the cost to the community would be for acceptance of <br /> this roadway - the figure was $3 , 850 .00 . Mr. David Johanson of 126 <br /> Old Colony asked a number' of questions regarding the Benchmark <br /> Engineering Report * Mr. of <br /> stated that- in order, to fulfill the <br /> ,conditions of t o town by-law€ another petiti n' rnu. t be F submitted <br /> representing 50% of the property owners on the, bad, to ask, the Town <br /> to proceed with the layout of the roadway, Mr Lawrence requested <br /> yted <br /> that Mr. Virgilio look into whether all requirements have been met <br /> and whether or not there is a bond involved . Per Benchmark Engineering 's <br /> report "with the exception of the grass not establishing itself on <br /> the shoulders of the right of way, all of the requirements of the <br /> Mashpee Planning Board regulations appear to have been met or exceeded" . <br /> Mr. Murphy advised Mr. Johnson to contact the Planning board inT <br /> reference to a bond and to have the grass taken care of. Mr. Murphy <br /> �__"=.�areed to assist residents with the wording for the next petition, <br /> i <br /> 2 . Residents of'�Tlmbei lane Shores attended to inform the Board of <br /> i <br /> the deterioraflo— .Fof the antu-it Fond cans and herring run. <br /> Mr. Shaughnessy asked dor the Board ' s assistance in getting the darn <br /> and herring run rebuilt '� Mr, Virgilio advised that the Santuit Pond <br /> area is privately owned and wouldn ' t be eligible for State funds <br /> for repair. Mr. Lawrence stated that he, Mr. Shaughnessy and <br /> Mr. Virgilio should get together to find the owners of the land <br /> since it would be thein responsibility to repair the dare and herring <br /> run. Mr. Murphy suggested that owners of the property, abut ting <br /> the dam with the individual who holds water rights to the cranberry <br /> bogs be contacted - these individuals would have a crested interest <br /> in this issue. <br /> i <br />
