Mr. Bah motioned to accept the minutes of May 22, 1996, Mr. Doherty seconded, <br /> all agreed. <br /> Discussion: Sampson's Mll Well Contamination <br /> County Director Stetson Tall, Selectperson fancy Caffyn and residents of the <br /> Sampson"s Mill Road area were in attendance. <br /> McQuaid relayed, "About two weeks ago Mr. Evans received a call from Mr. <br /> Alex Rothschild representing Award Environmental out of Providence, Rhode Island." <br /> "M.. Rothschild indicated in their site assessment ofthe Augat property they included <br /> testing some abutting private wells in the area." `one well in particular at 83 Sampson's <br /> Mill Road came up with a hit ofwhat he indicated about 300 .p.h. T.C. ,"' "Mr. Evans <br /> talked with him and vire all agreed that the first thing we do is retest that well because they <br /> tested four other wed.s in the neighborhood and none of there showed any trace of <br /> contamination."" "They apparently went back and retested and confirmed the <br /> contamination in that particular well, proceeded on their own to notify the homeowner not <br /> to drink , cooly with or shower with that water.'
