Murphy, and Town Counsel <br /> Joseph J. Reardon,. <br /> i <br /> GUESTS: Curtis Woodbury, Ms . Jane Labute, Ms . Wendy Rubin, Ms , Jane <br /> Peterson, Mr. Medelson. <br /> Motion by Sel. Hanson to approve the minutes of the March 8, 1983 <br /> Administrative Meeting and the Regular and Executive Sessions of March 9 , <br /> 1983. Seconded by Sel, Garland. This is a vote. <br /> 2 : 00 p.m,, .- Ms ,- Wendy Rubin, Recreation Director, came- to discuss the fee <br /> structure, policy & procedures and the special* instructions for <br /> gate attendants. Chan. Thomas referred to numbers andin <br /> the special, instructions for date attendants , She feels these <br /> two should- be changed to 'will" or "shall." as a. direction and <br /> not as it is stated. Recreation Director agreed. Sel. Hanson <br /> discussed the cost for non-residents. Discussion followed on <br /> the parking at the town beach and the state parking. Sel. <br /> Garland said that he does not subscribe to a position that <br /> we should be concerned about the State beach. His primary <br /> concern is to the Town. Board also discussed having a sticker <br /> day. Lotion by Sel. Garland to accept the fee structure of <br /> the Recreation Director as outlined with the following artend- <br /> ments ;- daily tickets for non-residents $5. 00 during the week <br /> and $8. 0 for weekends and- holidays , -and further amend the <br /> buses fee to read $1. 00 per seating capacity and further <br /> visitors permits to be amended to -read $15 .00 for one week, <br /> $20 .00 for two. weeksj, '$.30aOO for three weeks and $40 . 00 for <br /> four- weeks; - and further that the parking of self contained <br /> motor homes, buses , and mobile homes parking be at the discre- <br /> tion of then park attendant, and further that the changes of <br /> neer two and five in the special instructions to the date <br /> attendants . Seconded by $el. Hansom. This is a vote . <br /> Ms . Rubin -informed the Board that the -conce ion bids are- in- <br /> process . Board directed Ms , Rubin to pursue "Sticker Day" <br /> .m. speak to -the Board about the disc- Mr. Alen Medelson came to <br /> pi <br /> that the Building Inspector ordered removed. He asked the <br /> Board what they -want hien to do . Be said that he spoke t <br /> Sel, Ga kland, the Building Inspector and the Board of Appeals . <br /> He ins-fists that this is no different than parking his vans in <br /> front of his business, Sel. Garland said the problem is not <br /> the disc as' such it is mote the advertising on the disc. Exe- <br /> cutive Secretary interrupted -and said .that the Board should <br /> have no further discussion on this matter as it is a zoning <br /> problem. Town Counsel said this is outside of the Selectmen' s <br /> jurisdiction. Town Counsel said that this is the function of <br /> the Building Inspector, Town Counsel - gave Mr. Medelson two <br /> choices to go to the Board of Appeals for a;--s.pecial permit <br /> or take it to court. Town Counsel also told hien that his <br /> business is in a Cl Zone which is- only for certarin .types of <br /> activities . Forms were given to Mrd. Medelson to submit to . <br /> the..Board of Appeal's to ask for modification of the existing <br /> permit. -Sl. Garland said that the Executive Secretary had <br />
