BOARD OF SFLCTWN MI NUTE S D DA , FEBRUARY 11, 1985 ADMT NT STRATIyF MEETING present: Selectman Hanson, Selectman Terry, Selectman Thomas and Executive S oretary Mr. Murphy explained the reason for this meeting' s to handle last minute changes and such in comee t ion with special town meeting, as well as meeting with Anne Shaw. Mr. Murphy explained ,the process that would be involved in connection with the property being considered by -the Housing Authority for Elderly Hous_ung. W. Murphy stated the property was taken by tax title process and that the Conservation Conrnission would have some sort of sign off.. He also stated the town has a clear title on this property. Sel ectman Hanson asked if when the village concept was done was an area designated for Elderly Housing. Selectman Thomas said it Was discussed but an area was not designated. Selectman Thomas also said the Housing Authority has not looked into land of private sector. W. Murphy exp 1 a fined that he will have a response from town nouns e l around 2 p.m. a s to the medthod of sign off. Selectman Hanson asked if it was customary to rake a motion for an article and then vote against it. Mr. Murphy pointed out .it would be better if he just did not make the motion regarding the article. Anne Shaw was in to discuss the s '.-#.�_-y level for the Treasurer/Collectors. She spoke on eorrprable worth. Ms. Shaw also explained that she, Vern Polka and Ram Davis all rated themselves and came within a few points of each other. Therefore feels all three financial people should be at the same grade. Selectman Hanson and Thomas had no objection with the reclassification of these positions. M * Shaw informed the Board she ,is planning to 90 to the Personnel Board with this proposal but this was the first step. Mr. Murphy suggested Ms. Shaw's request be forwarded to the Personnel Board.. Selectman Hansom brought to the Board's attention a request from Richard Kuusela for a perrr�t to float eight rafts for reseeding. Selectmen asked Mr. Murphy to schedule a hearing on this request. Selectman Thomas advised the Board that skiers on Mashpee River have found two areas of Suspicious nature, possible cesspool dumping.
