` .,-BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, MAY 11 1985 <br /> Present: SelecLman Terry, selectman Thomas <br /> Guests: Monica McNally, Chief Hartin, Vernon Thomas <br /> Selectman Terry convened the meeting at 7 p.m. <br /> Selectman Thomas roved to approve the minutes of April 23 administrative meeting and <br /> Executive Session as well as the April 24 regular Meeting and executive sessions. <br /> Selectman Terry seconded. All were in favor. <br /> Appointments & Hearings- <br /> 7:00 <br /> earin s7:00 - Selectmen conducted a public hearing on a request of Coin El otric. Mr. French <br /> a representative of Cori Electric explained this hearing i : neceay to pply <br /> service to Meadow Haven Drive a development of Meadow Haven Fealty Trust <br /> located off of Route 130# <br /> Being no further questions Selectman Thomas moved to approve- petition 929 + of <br /> Com Electric. Selectman -Terry seconded. Motion carried. <br /> Old Business <br /> I. Selectmen received communication from the Historical Commission stating that the <br /> Old Mahpee Library which is located on the Alvin Crocker premises in Fors'tdale, <br /> is in such die-repair it would not be worth moving back to Mashpee. The Commission <br /> further stated that the stove in the Chapel is not the original good stove, and <br /> would be of no value to the Commission. They also requested that Mr. Virgilio <br /> replace the broken window panes at the Chapel. <br /> Selectmen Thomas moved to request Mr. Virgilio to replace the broken windows at <br /> the Chapel . Selectman Terry seconded. Motion carried. <br /> 2. Selectmen received a memo from the Personnel Board informing them that they do <br /> not agree with giving Mr. Collins a higher grade than Grade 18, Step 1 as was <br /> requested by the Selectmen. <br /> . Chief Hartin was in to check on the status of the ambulance billing contract. <br /> Mr. Hartin informed the Board it was brought to their attention back in 1984 <br /> at which time a firm was found and a contract was suibmitted which had some <br /> problems with the language. He also stated a ME-eti.ng was held with the Td n <br /> Accountant, Treasurer and Chief Hartin and the problems were resolved. <br /> The Board was advised that the contract had been forwarded to town counsel for <br /> review and not yet received it back. Selectmen deferred this until the May 22nd <br /> meeting at which time they promised to have the contract ready for approval . <br /> New Business <br /> 1. Elizabeth Simpson had written a letter to the Selectmen asking for relief from <br /> a number of reflector poles that had been placed along the road in front of her <br /> house. She felt these poles took away from the value of her property. <br /> Selectman Terry asked that this matter be referred to Ernie Virgilio to see what <br /> could be done to relieve her of this problem. <br />
