Murphy <br /> Guests: i hae l Makunas, Vernon Thomas, Chief Iia rt in, Carol Costa-Crowell, Anthony <br /> Fior ntini <br /> Selectman Terry convened the meeting at 7 p.m. <br /> Selectman Ha-n cin moved-to accept the minutes of December +, 1985 executive session, <br /> De'cumber 1.1, 1985 regular meeting, December 11, 1985 executive session, December 17, <br /> 1985 -special meeting and December 18,: 1985 regular, meeting. Selectman Thomas seconded. <br /> All were in favor. <br /> Appointments & Hearings <br /> 7 :00 - New England Telephone had petitioned the Board of Selectmen to hold a public <br /> hearing for six joint owned pole locations on Samps ns Mill Road in Ma hpee. <br /> New England Telephone requested this hearing be postponed until next week <br /> due to the illness of their representative, <br /> Selectman Hanson moved to continue this bearing until 7:30 on January 15, <br /> 1986. Selectman Thomas seconded. A l 1 were in favor. <br /> 0 Old Business <br /> 1 The Board received an article for a special town meeting in February. The article <br /> was for expenses to investigate sources and extent of contamination of water. <br /> 4 <br /> supplies in the A.shumet Valley. <br /> F The Board deferred action until after next Thursday at which time -Town Counsels <br /> from Falmouth and Mashpee would meet on this issue. <br /> Selectmen asked that. the Board of Health are advised. <br /> The Burd of Selectmen were requested to accept, the bids as indicated' on the bid <br /> summary a copy of which is attached for various fire equipment. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to accept the bids as indicated on the bid summary. <br /> Selectman Hanson seconded. All were in favor. <br /> - i <br /> The Board of Selectmen received a letter from DEE relative to the water supply <br /> at the Recreation Building. Selectman Hansom stated he has spoken with the <br /> Board of Health who will be taking samples and report. Selectman Hanson will <br /> also speak Lo a local well man for his suggestions. <br /> Selectmen were asked to appoint a computer system procurement committee for <br /> the purpose of making specific recommendaLi ns on data processing and to prepare'-. <br /> articles for the annual town meeting. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to .appoint Joseph Murphy, Vernice Polka, Anne Shaw, Jane <br /> Labute and Para Davis.
