BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE MEETING <br /> TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 1987 <br /> Present: Selectman Thomas, selectman Lawrence and Executive secretary, Joseph <br /> Murphy <br /> Absent: selectman Manson (on -vacation) <br /> Guests: Carol Costa-Crowell, Chris Harder .a.nd Tori Fukdala <br /> Selectman Thomas convened the meeting at 8 a.m. <br /> The first item of business discussed was who would do the Selectmen's report <br /> for the annual town report. <br /> It was decided that all Selectmen would put their thoughts together- and work <br /> out a report. <br /> Selectman Thomas also advised that the town report for. the water Commission <br /> was finished and would he presented for the Board's review. <br /> The second item of business was the review of -several articles' presented for <br /> March 23 special town meeting. Also present for the review was Torn Fudala. <br /> The third item was the authorization of deficit spending for snow and ice. <br /> Selectman Lawrence moved to approve the overrun of $50,.000 for snow and <br /> ice. Selectman Thomas seconded. Motion carried. <br /> Selectman Thomas asked if it would be wise to pint the recap sheet in the <br /> town report -to allow townspeople the opportunity to see just what takes <br /> place as far a money. <br /> The fourth item discussed was the recommendation from the Personnel Board <br /> axed .Police Chief relative to the appointment of a part-tune clerk for the <br /> police department. <br /> Selectmen deferred action until tomorrow night to allow time to look into <br /> whether this position is needed. <br /> Being no further business selectman Lawrence- moved to go into executive session <br /> to discuss contract negotiations with an employee. Selectman Thomas seconded. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> .Selectmen announced they would not reconvene regular session.
