One was <br /> issued to John Booker and the sixth badge is being done over because of the <br /> mistake. <br /> Mrs. Mabel Avant was in about the sale of her land to the Town, but as <br /> yet no word has been received on the matter. <br /> Donald Hicks and Willies -Nest, lawyer, came before the Board with a petition <br /> asking to appoint Horace Gifford as Chief or Acting ing hef with 111 signatures. <br /> The Board heard the people on the subject of Police Chief. Attorney William <br /> West spoke at quite some length on Tavaresbea th etc., and also commending <br /> acting Chief Gifford on his performance in not lettir�g the people down when <br /> the others resigned on the spot* A number of people spoke in favor of Acting <br /> Chief Gifford. The Grote was 2 to I for Horace Gifford as Chef of Police. <br /> Chairman Aiken was rpt for it. <br /> John 'eters came before the Board for the Irdian Council Jure 3 Buffet Dinner, <br /> 12 Noone and 23 June 7:30 P.M.;-May 6 Eastern Indian Federated League. <br />
