Minutes of the Selectmen' s Meeting <br /> Wednesday June 19, 1974 <br /> All Selectmen present. Town Counsel unable to attend, but <br /> could be reached by phone . <br /> l ) Curtis Hendricks met with Selectmen requesting to be <br /> considered as the Board of Health Agent. Selectmen re- <br /> ferred Mr. Hendricks to the Personnel Board for proper <br /> p:.ocessing. <br /> 2) Mrs. Marion Vuilleumier representing Cape Cod United <br /> Church Homes met with Selectmen asking€or _the necessary <br /> building permits needed for the housing complex to enable <br /> the project to be started. Permission granted. <br /> 3) Linda Luielczyk of Ockway Bay presented the Selectmen <br /> with a petition signed by residents of this area <br /> requesting John Elliot of Ockway Bay Development Corporation <br /> to correct possible health hazzard which they believe <br /> are present. First, to correct the open sandpit which is <br /> dangerous to the children of this area, second, correct <br /> the swamp area and third remove the hazzard of unused <br /> drainage pipes on th lot opposite #9. <br /> Letter was written to the Board of Health requesting <br /> them. to look into this matter and- report to the-.:Board <br /> their findings. <br /> It was suggested to seed the sandpit ' to prevent erosion. <br /> Also suggested, to see the Planning Board and check if <br /> Mr. Elliot is in any Violations of the building code . <br /> The last resort for the residents of this area would <br /> be to file suit against -Mr.- .Elliot. <br /> 4) Managers of the Farm, Poets Pub, On the Rocks met <br /> with Selectmen Peters and Hickq (Selectman O'Connell <br /> called away to meet with the Board of Health) , to gain <br /> permission- ,to -,dispense alcoholic beverages until 2A.M. <br /> Before the meeting became involved, Chief Bingham was <br /> called in to state his. opinions relating to. the problems <br /> this may create. After much discussion the following <br /> decision was reached: A thirty day trial, period commencing <br /> June 29, 1974. This trial period will be revoked at the --. <br /> discretion of the Board if problems should occur. <br /> S) With an introduction from Chief Bingham, Mr. Clifford <br /> Lenox promoter of the three-ring Kirk Curcus presented <br /> this pro ram to the Selectmen. Having a date to fill <br /> (.July 12} , he approached the Chief to see if the <br /> Policemen' s Employees Association would be interested <br /> in spoAsoring this event, <br />
