TOWN OF MASHPEE, MASSACHUSETTS <br /> NOTES TO SCHEDULE OF FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE <br /> JUNE 30, 1987 <br /> 1. Scope of Audit <br /> The Town of Mashpee, Massachusetts is a governmental agency established by <br /> the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. <br /> All operations related to the Town's federal grant programs (National School <br /> Lunch Program, Federal Revenue Sharing and Federal Education Grants) are included <br /> in the scope of the OMB Circular A-128 Audit Requirements for audits of state and <br /> local governments (the single audit). The U.S. Department of Education has been <br /> designated as the town's cognizant agency for the single audit. <br /> Compliance testing of all general requirements, as described in the Compliance <br /> Supplement was performed. Compliance testing of specific requirements was performed <br /> for the following grant programs. (Designated as nonmajor programs that constitute <br /> over 50% of federal financial assistance) .
