In accordance with <br /> Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 110, Section 5, you are required to file with the Town <br /> Clerk's Office a Business Certificate. If, however, you have either become incorporated or are now <br /> operating under your complete surname (e.g. John Doe Construction), a Business Certificate is no <br /> longer required. <br /> It is important that you complete both copies of the Business Certificate. You will have an <br /> original and so will the Clerk's Office. Also, the Business Certificate checklist must be completed. <br /> If you no'longer are operating your business, please complete and return the Discontinuance of <br /> Business form. We currently are staffed with two notaries, and will notarize your copy at no <br /> charge. <br /> The renewal fee for your Business Certificate is twenty dollars ($20.00), which must <br /> accompany your filing.
