S <br /> TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> SENIOR CENTER BUILDING COMMITTEE <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of December 13, 2004 <br /> Committee Attendees: Also Attending: <br /> Irving Goldberg Jim Long, Director, COA <br /> Harold Klegman Ernest Virgilio, Clerk of the Works <br /> Jean Noussee <br /> Betty Nichols <br /> Art Weinstein <br /> Ed Adams <br /> Chairman Irving Goldberg called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. <br /> REVIEW OF MINUTES <br /> The Committee unanimously approved the minutes from the meeting of November 22,2004. <br /> BILLS <br /> Irving Goldberg reported receipt of the following 5 bills: <br /> 1. $194,517 from Statewide Engineering. This will be the next to the last bill from Statewide, <br /> with just a few items still pending completion. <br /> 2. $2,560 from Clerk of the Works, covering the period from 11/22/04 through 12/10/04. There <br /> will be just one more billing from the Clerk of the Works. <br /> 3. $7,415.06 from JCA. This represents the final billing from the architectural firm. A site visit <br /> by JCA is due this week, as well as review of a punch list of items yet to be completed. <br /> 4. $1,081.23 from Comcast, to cover installation of 500 extra feet of cable. <br /> 5. $1,760 from Clerk of the Works, covering the period from 10/12/04 through 12/25/04. This <br /> bill was already approved by Joyce Mason, and has been paid. <br /> REPORTS <br /> Grant Manager. No report. <br /> Clerk of the Works. Ernest Virgilio reported the following items: <br /> 1. The Mashpee Building Inspector has required that the new building is to be locked down until <br /> the sewage hookup is completed. The ruling is now with the DEP for approval. Only Jim Long, <br /> Ernest Virgilio, the DEP, and Ray in Maintenance hold keys to the building. One of them must <br /> be present if there is a need for workmen to be inside the building. <br /> 2. The fire and police alarms are connected. Lights will be on by 12/14/04. <br /> 3. The traffic light at the entrance on Rt. 151 will be installed in the spring of'05. <br /> 4. Installation of the tree buffer zone behind the building is an important Abutter issue now, <br /> because of the building lights and parking lot lights which will be on after dark. <br /> Site Meeting. Chairman Irving Goldberg reported the following items: <br /> 1.The rugs were installed this past weekend. <br /> 2.Molding trim is to be installed tomorrow. <br /> 3.The automatic front door is being installed today. <br /> 4.There is still a lot.of paint touch-up work to be completed <br /> 5.Gutters need to be connected. <br /> 6.JCA is planning a site visit on Thursday, 12/16/04, with Ernest Virgilio and Irving Goldberg. <br /> They will compile a punch list of items still to be completed. <br /> 1 = <br />
