Grand Opening—January 28, 2003. Irving Goldberg announced that the date for the grand <br /> opening had been changed to 1/28/05. Invitations currently are in the design process. The <br /> Mashpee High School print shop should have a draft ready for review by Friday, Dec. 17`". The <br /> print shop is also working on designing a calendar to be used as handouts at the event. It is <br /> anticipated that there will be a need for 500 calendars. Iry Goldberg will purchase the paper for <br /> the invitations. The recording secretary will assist in consolidation of the invitation lists and <br /> preparation of labels for mailing the invitations. The Town will pay for the postage. <br /> Refreshments are still undecided. Bud Abbott will present an invitation to the event to Roche <br /> Brothers, and at the same time ask for a donation of the refreshments. <br /> Jim Long reported the offer of a group to provide a demonstration of ballroom dancing during the <br /> open house. <br /> A Grand Opening subcommittee meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at 2 PM <br /> at the old Senior Center. <br /> Discussion. Ed Adams inquired as to when the Senior Center Building Committee would be <br /> disbanded. Irving Goldberg stated that the committee would continue to function until the late <br /> spring, when the landscaping plans are completed and all other unfinished items of business are <br /> wrapped up. The Council on Aging will assume responsibility of the use of the building when the <br /> certificate of occupancy is received. <br /> The next meeting of the Senior Center Building Committee was scheduled for Monday, January <br /> 10, 2005, at 1:30 PM at the NEW Mashpee Senior Center.
