Classics First(Continued)
CONCLUSIONS
Sheldon Hamblin said they have to look at:
1. Use group;
2. What the rest of the building use group is;
3. If a one-hour fire separation is enough because of the hazardous classification; and
4. The design of the sprinkler.
Mr. Morra asked if there was a list of requirements. Sheldon responded "yes"—a combination
of fire code and building code to come up with the requirements and any fire protection
engineer could do that for you as long as they design in accordance with the use.
Tom Fudala states it would be good to get some clarification on the use group and any
conditions required before the Public Hearing so they can be written into the modification of
the Special Permit for this unit and also any conditions regarding the sprinklers and the codes
so they too can be written into the Special Permit decision.
Charlie Maintanis said he will check and get Mr. Morra some information on the use groups on
either side of his wall.
Question: Is another egress door needed?
Motion: Tom Fudala motioned Plan Review Committee to approve subject to approval of
sprinkler system and wall rating between adjacent unit and specifying the use group; Sheldon
Hamblin seconded this motion; and it was unanimously approved by Plan Review Committee
members present.
Motion: Tom O'Hara motioned Design Review Committee approve-as stipulated-and-approved—
by Plan Review Committee; David Kooharian seconded the motion; and it was unanimously
approved by Design Review Committee members present
71 Jobs Fishing Road
Temporary construction trailer
New England Design Associates
Sean Sebastino
Sean Sebastino appeared. Tom Fudala opened the discussion by advising Mr. Sebastino that he
cannot put anything in the undisturbed buffer area. The area between Route 28 and the building has
to stay. Jonathan Furbush commented that he didn't think ZBA went through any of this, other than
the leeching pit. The latest Plan should be labeled 10/27 revision.
Committee asked Mr. Sebastino: Is there any reason why you can't move out of the 50 foot
undisturbed vegetated buffer toward the building? Mr. Sebastino said he could do this. He said he
will move the trailer by the leeching pit. Mr. Sebastino said he should be done by May. Charlie
Maintanis said if Mr. Sebastino goes beyond 6 months then he should come back to Building
Department to get another permit extension.
2
