Mashpee Historic District Commission Minutes of Meeting July 2,2013 at 4:30 p.m. Waquoit Meeting Room,Mashpee Town,Hall Historic District Commission Members Present: Dennis Balzarini, Brian Hyde, Earle Mills Also Present: Tom Fudala-Town Planner, DPW Director-Catherine Laurent Absent: Mike Robinson, Marian Spencer CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 5 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING 4:30 Public Hearing Regarding Approval Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for Alterations to the Town Archives Building, 13 Great Neck Road North (Assessors' Map 36,Parcel 7) It was noted that 4 members were needed to vote to approve the application for a Certificate of Appropriateness. Should the Commission be unable to make a decision within 60 days, a Certificate of Hardship must be issued due to "failure to act." There was some discussion regarding the possibility of reducing Historic District Commission membership but Mr. Fudala indicated that it would require a Town Meeting Article to change the bylaw. MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to vote to approve a Certificate of Hardship that would not be in effect until 60 days after filing of the Certificate of Appropriateness application. Mr. Hyde seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. COMMISSION ITEMS Commission Reorganization MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to nominate Earle Mills for Chairman. Mr. Hyde seconded the motion. MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to nominate Brian Hyde for Vice Chairman. Mr. Mills seconded the motion. MOTION: Mr. Hyde made a motion to nominate Dennis Balzarini for Clerk. Mr.Mills seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. OTHER BUSINESS ADJOURNMENT MOTION: Mr. Hyde made a motion to adjourn. Ms.Balzarini seconded the motion. All. voted unanimously.
