We have <br /> enclosed a self-addressed envelope, postage prepaid, to be used to forward <br /> this information to us. <br /> (2) If amendments have been adopted since June 15, 1988, please check line <br /> 2 on the following page and forward a copy of the amendments to us in the <br /> envelope provided. <br /> (3) In the event you have already forwarded these changes to us, kindly check <br /> line 3 and return this letter to us in the envelope provided. <br /> Please note that a certified copy of any amendments to your municipality's <br /> subdivision regulations must be transmitted to the Recorder of the Land court <br /> "in Boston before the amendments are legally enforceable. Some municipalities Icy <br /> have attested to satisfy this requirement by transmitting copies of <br /> amendments to the Land Court representative at the county Registry of Deeds. <br /> These filings are insufficient to satisfy the statutory requirement <br /> that the filing be made with the Recorder of the Land Court since the Recorder <br /> is located in Boston. See attached copy from M.G.L. c. 41 Section 81Q. <br /> To assist municipalities in meeting their filing requirements and to help ( . <br /> assure them that subdivision regulation amendments are legally enforceable, <br /> Landlaw is supplying each Planning Board with a printout of the Land court <br /> Subdivision Control Law docket for their municipality as of September 13, <br /> 1988. This docket includes the following information: 1) The date of the <br /> various filings which your board has made with the Recorder 2) The <br /> Recorder's document number for each filing (designated "Paper" in the docket) <br /> and 3) The subject matter of each filing. <br />
