(1) If no amerxh�ents have been adopted since June 15, 1988, simply check line 1 on the following page, sign and return this letter to us. We have enclosed a self-addressed envelope, postage prepaid, to be used to forward this information to us. (2) If amendments have been adopted since June 15, 1988, please check line 2 on the following page and forward a copy of the amendments to us in the envelope provided. (3) In the event you have already forwarded these changes to us, kindly check line 3 and return this letter to us in the envelope provided. Please note that a certified copy of any amendments to your municipality's subdivision regulations must be transmitted to the Recorder of the Land court "in Boston before the amendments are legally enforceable. Some municipalities Icy have attested to satisfy this requirement by transmitting copies of amendments to the Land Court representative at the county Registry of Deeds. These filings are insufficient to satisfy the statutory requirement that the filing be made with the Recorder of the Land Court since the Recorder is located in Boston. See attached copy from M.G.L. c. 41 Section 81Q. To assist municipalities in meeting their filing requirements and to help ( . assure them that subdivision regulation amendments are legally enforceable, Landlaw is supplying each Planning Board with a printout of the Land court Subdivision Control Law docket for their municipality as of September 13, 1988. This docket includes the following information: 1) The date of the various filings which your board has made with the Recorder 2) The Recorder's document number for each filing (designated "Paper" in the docket) and 3) The subject matter of each filing.
