McBride <br /> Mashpee Baptist Church <br /> Great Neck Road, North <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> Dear Reverend McBride: <br /> C{ <br /> On March 29, 1988, I issued a permit to conduct raffles or bazaars I <br /> following an "application for permit to conduct raffles and bazaars" <br /> filed by Mashpee Baptist Church. The application was signed by you as <br /> well as by Lucinda G. Lashley, Main Street,• Mashpee; Carol A. Lopez, <br /> Meeting House Road, Mashpee, and Pauline E. Hicks, Main Street, Mashpee. <br /> These individuals signs as "officers or members of organization re- <br /> sponsible for operation of raffle or bazaar." <br /> On April 1, 1988, my office received a letter from fourteen (14) officers <br /> and members of the Mashpee Baptist Church requesting an immediate <br /> revocation of the permit. The letter stated, in part, ". . . . .the raffle <br /> was not authorized by the officers and members of the Mashpee Baptist <br /> Church. " This letter gives me reason to believe =here is a change in the <br /> facts set forth in the application. <br /> Pursuant to Chapter 271, Section 7A I hereby revoke the permit I issued <br /> on March 29, 1988. You are advised that said Section 7A provides a <br /> mechanism for judicial review of my decision. <br /> Very truly yours, <br /> /Jane D.
