LEISURE SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 11, 1999 <br />MASHPEE TOWN HALL - 6:30 PM <br />Present: <br />Pat Antonellis <br />Scott Chausse <br />Not Present: <br />Maryanne Macdonald <br />Wayne Taylor <br />Don McCuish <br />A discussion concerning Skate Board Park took place. <br />Police Station area appeared to be best. <br />...Access to Telephone <br />...Lighting is better <br />...Foster good relationship with Police <br />Also Present: <br />Dan Taylor <br />Gus Frederick <br />This area will be having an outdoor basketball area at Boys & Girls Club <br />High School area: <br />...Too much traffic <br />...No parking <br />...During school hours older kids may use park <br />...Kids may leave building <br />...No bathroom <br />Heritage — Too far away from Mashpee Commons <br />Football Field Area at High School <br />Dan Taylor suggested having a Committee representing skate board group. The park <br />would be open only certain hours. A fence would be put up either around park or a <br />buffer fence. This fence will be donated by Mashpee Commons. Dan Taylor feels that <br />the design of the park is really important so that the park is utilized. Dan Taylor <br />wanted to know if Quashnet Area had a Committee. <br />
