LEISURE SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING <br />October 26, 1999 <br />MASHPEE TOWN HALL - 6:30 PM <br />Present: Absent: Also Present: <br />Kevin Terrill Pat Riley Gus Frederick <br />Terry Cook Janice Mills <br />Wayne Taylor <br />Pat Antonellis <br />Scott Chausse <br />Don McCuish <br />I. Q12enin — Meeting opened at 6:40 PM. <br />II. Minutes — No recent meeting to approve. <br />III. Communications -Terrie Cook told the Committee that Janice Mills would be <br />taking her place due to Terrie's many Subcommittee commitments. <br />IV. Old Business — Fall Programs - Gus passed out a Revolving Account printout of <br />the financial status for review. Gus explained how the KKSC programs are <br />separated on the financial sheet and how he plans to separate the Kids programs <br />from the Adult programs. Gus explained that a lot of equipment was purchased <br />for the summer camp, and that is why our expenses look high. Don McCuish <br />asked if we worked within our budget, and Gus explained that we are not on a <br />budget for the Revolving Account. A lot of income may come in at the beginning <br />of the month, and the end of the month we may spend because of salaries. The <br />Youth Center lost money last year. <br />Gus mentioned having the gym open on Friday or Saturday with a gym supervisor <br />and building supervisor. Janice Mills asked if we were coordinating with the <br />Boys and Girls Club and if they will be serving the high school age. Gus <br />mentioned that he is trying to coordinate with the Director. Janice would like to <br />see if we could work together. Kevin discussed the Boys and Girls Club. Janice <br />Mills would like to have a meeting with the school principal, the Boys and Girls <br />Club, and Leisure Services to coordinate programs. <br />(Wayne Taylor left the meeting at 7:00 PM; Janice Mills left the meeting at 7:05) <br />Grants - Gus applied to the Department of Education for a Grant for after-school <br />activities. Due date is the 15' of November. Gus mentioned that he included <br />Special Education. <br />
