0 <br />LEISURE SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 27, 2001 <br />MASHPEE TOWN HALL - 6:30 PM <br />Present — Pat Riley, Chris Shute, Pat Antonellis, Richard Martini <br />Absent — Wayne Taylor, Don McCuish, Donna Lopez <br />Also Present — Gus Frederick <br />I. Opening - Meeting opened at 6:30 PM. No quorum at the opening of the meeting. Chris <br />Shute left early and Pat Antonellis arrived late; therefore, no quorum. <br />The following items were discussed. <br />II. Old Business — <br />A. Registrations - Still going over different computerized registration programs. No <br />decision made yet. <br />B. Capital Plan — Three big projects — (1) Community Building <br />(2) Repair Tennis Courts (We use tennis courts at Quashnet. The original cost at <br />Quashnet was verbal $40,000 - $45,000 to repair. A couple of companies came in at <br />$40,000 to $65,000 up to $90,000. Looking at doing repairs next year. (3) Replace <br />station wagon with 4 -wheel drive has been approved for town meeting. <br />C. Community Building — Discussion took place on how much money could possibly be <br />generated from rentals of different areas. <br />D. Skate Park — Meeting next week at Police Station to plan operation of skate park this <br />season. Trying to make sure litter is picked up. <br />III._ New Business — <br />A. — New staff — Kids Klub afterschool has ad for new person. Also looking for summer <br />camp counselors. <br />B. Increase in Life Guard and Gate Attendant wage has been approved. <br />C. Discussion on 2002 budget. Special events item has been added. <br />D. Youth Center Program — Boys and Girls Club - K through 5" Grades. Youth Center <br />time on Saturday. Rotary to give $1,000 to help costs. <br />E.
