LEISURE SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING <br />October 24, 2000 <br />MASHPEE TOWN HALL - 6:30 PM <br />Present: Pat Antonellis, Donna Lopez, Chris Shute <br />Absent: Don McCuish, Scott Chausse, Wayne Taylor, Pat Riley <br />Also Present: Gus Frederick <br />Due to lack of Ouorum, no items were voted on. The following things <br />were discussed: <br />Communications - Gus passed out a copy of the Facility's Calendar to give a picture of <br />what is going on at the three schools. Charlotte Garron is working at the Leisure Service <br />office at the high school from 2:30 to 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday. Leisure <br />Services office at the high school was to be moved to where the Art Gallery is by the <br />entrance, but Gus has not heard anything more about moving. The Fax is now working at <br />our office at the high school. <br />October town meeting approved study of Community Facility. Discussion took place on <br />proposed facility. Gus passed out copy of 10/12/99 Capital Improvement. A discussion <br />took place regarding a multiple use building at South Cape Beach, Leisure Services <br />vehicles, and beach equipment. <br />Donna Lopez mentioned the importance of looking for a resource center for teenagers, <br />and she suggested the idea of a coffee house. <br />A discussion took place regarding inclusion of special needs children in the Kids Klub <br />After-school program.
