BOCA PLAN REVIEW FEE SCHEDULE <br /> • <br /> The Plan Review fee is based on the estimated construction value calculated in accordance with the Permit <br /> Fee Schedule (gross area x gross area modifier x type of construction factor) indicated in the May/June <br /> 1993 BOCA Magazine. For buildings with an estimated construction value up to$750,000,the Building Plan <br /> Review fee is 0.0015 of the estimated value ($100 minimum). For buildings with an estimated construction <br /> value over$750,000 up to$5,000,000,the fee is$1,125.00 plus 0.0005 of the estimated value over$750,000. <br /> For buildings over$5,000,000, the fee is $3,250 plus 0.0004 of the valuation over $5,000,000. <br /> Special consideration may be given in computing Plan Review fees for buildings such as large warehouses <br /> or indoor recreational facilities due to their plan review simplicity. Such considerations may also be given <br /> to buildings with repetitive floor plans such as high-rise buildings. <br /> The plan review fee for Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical Reviews is computed at 25 percent of the <br /> Building Plan Review fee for each discipline ($100 minimum). <br /> The Sprinkler Review is simply based on the number of sprinkler heads: 1-100, $125; 101-200,$150;201-300, <br /> $175; 301-400, $200; 401-500, $250; 501-750, $275; over 750, $275 plus $0.20 per sprinkler over 750. For <br /> hydraulically-designed systems, multiply the fee by two. <br /> SAMPLE PLAN REVIEW CALCULATION <br /> 'Location: Mashpee, MA Use Group : B <br /> Type of Construction: 2C Area/Floor: 10,000 sq. ft. <br /> Height: 3 stories, 35 feet <br /> • Solution: <br /> 1. Gross square footage: <br /> 3 stories x 10,000 square feet = 30,000 square feet <br /> 2. Compute estimated construction value: <br /> A. Type of Construction Factor = 1.01 <br /> B. Gross Area Modifier = 58 <br /> C. Estimated Construction Value <br /> 30,000 sq. ft. x 58 x 1.01 = $1,757,400 <br /> 3. Compute Plan Review fee: <br /> Building: $1,125 + ($1,757,400 - 750,000)(.0005) _ $13628 <br /> Mechanical: (.25)($1,628) = 407 <br /> Plumbing: (.25)($13628) = 407 <br /> Electrical: (.25)($1,628) = 407 <br /> • <br />
