He asked if the tank is above or below ground?
Bob said he is not sure at this point, both had been discussed.
Mr. Rich has more concerned with a below ground tank - out of site out of
mind. He would like to see the diagram and spec of the tank.
Review of the plans.
-Video wall- why 4 TV's? Merry Sue said that is a wish list, she is not
sure it has been designed. Bob said it doesn't have to be 4 TV's, can be
projected to the wall .
- Security system - all the pieces are not coming together .
- Equipment room, why 3 doors, could put "cage" doors.
Bob said it looks like it is a wire mesh partition, not door.
- custodian room - they have their own toilet? Committee agreed it can come
out.
- scene storage - don' t see it anywhere. There are 2 unidentified rooms in
the auditorium.
- Coach and official area- Paul said it seems very large - 7 lockers in
each room. Janice said they do need some space.
- Laundry - Dr. DeMoura asked for it.
- Alternative ed room - does it need it's own bathroom? Ask Dr. DeMoura.
- typical classroom shows a lot of cabinets - the mill work will be
expensive.
- Plumbing -recirculation of hot water, eliminate the return and save 40
feet of pipe.
- Emergency tempered water tank - 350 gallons. What is it for?
- Aquastat control system, what is it's purpose?
- Roof mounted ductwork support - Paul made a recommendation.
- Fuel oil tank - why is it steel not plastic?
- Re-look at whole security issue. Cameras should be moved back to see
stairways and the door.
- Should be a door out to the courtyard . Bob said it is there.
Furniture subcommittee: Bob explained Tavares was working with a population
of 1450 and a full industrial arts program, which the school will not have.
He will make recommendations based on the budget of $2 . 7 million. His fee
structure does not change. Paul will talk to Bob about this issue. He
suggested Tavares come to the November lst meeting to address the
Committee.
Merry Sue said the furniture subcommittee must go to the conference in New
Orleans. She has drafted a letter on this issue which she will forward to
Paul Griffin.
Sewage Treatment Plant - SMMA will be receiving proposals from Rizzo and
Woodard and Weston and Sampson by Friday. J
Weston and Sampson will be recommending they retain DeFaoe Wait and Pare to
do the hydro geo work , since they had completed so much of the work
already. The Committee does not have a problem with this.
Recommendation for sewage treatment plant engineer will be the first item
on next week's agenda.
Traffic study - SMMA received a letter from the Cape Cod Commission asking
that 3 other intersections be included in the study.
