Paul does not think the school will use enough hot water to warrant both
systems . Gas company charges more if you have duel use capability .
$3 , 400 is just cost to have capability , no tank in the ground yet.
The analysis is not finished . Ian will study further.
9A6- Paul does not know where the pricing carne from. It needs a true
analysis, true cost vs . spec .
9A7- Paul does not think it is a $22 , 000 expense .
91bl- *Agree to delete the fire pump .
Bob Fournier is trying to arrange a flow test with the Fire Department to
make this determination .
9B2- Paul does not think Chartwell understands the product , it is approved
for 2 , 000 degrees.
9C1- Paul said the building will probably be used 12 months a year , how do
we accomplish that? What is the additional cost? Maintenance costs should
be part of the analysis .
Ian will review and report back .
9C2- Part of 9C1 study .
9C4- Paul was surprised they did not suggest indirect heating in the floor.
Tom Wren said it was talked about . Ray Bordwell added you don ' t see it in
schools because of the air ventilation requirements . You would have to
install the ventilation equipment as well .
11-1 reduce parking .
Merry Sue is concerned the parking may be sufficient for the school but
will it be sufficient for events in the gym and auditorium?
There is a lot of alternative parking to look at , grass or gravel overflow
parking .
Should you build a parking lot for 5-10 events per year , can you afford it?
However , grass overflow will require a lot of lawn to mow .
There is not zoning minimum required .
*The Committee needs better input from the architect, a practical
recommendation .
Ed Frenette suggested you need 1 per each faculty member and 1 per every 5
students.
Dan Solien spoke to Falmouth who suggest every senior drives and about 1 /2
of the junior class drives .
11 -2 reduce tennis courts down to 6 . G&P thought 6 were practical and
won ' t impact the project. If we have the money we can put them back . *In
excess of 6 courts is an add alternate.
11-3 practice football fields . G&P suggest putting it on the add alternate
list.
Dan suggested moving the tennis next to the football field - swap tennis
for practice football field .
Peter told Dan Solien the Committee needs definite boundaries for the land
we absolutely need for now and the future to use in the negotiation
process .
Peter asked the Committee if the project needs the southerly most future
fields? Should we acquire that land?
* The Committee agreed the town should acquire that land .
11 -4- bleachers . *Committee agreed to start with 600 bleachers .
6
