No
Joel explained the curtains in the auditorium were never cut .
OFF SITE IMPROVEMENTS
Joel explained phase II was approved, phase I is pending final
resolution.
Paul explained that is because town counsel feels it is within
SMMA' s scope of work because it is within the site , including any
work to get into the site.
Joel said SMMA would like to discuss that with Paul . They can' t
authorize the consultant to proceed until then.
Paul said if they have not authorized the consultant to proceed
with this work he will be VERY ANGRY! ! SMMA should do the job.
Have the consultant do the work and they can dispute the money
afterwards . SMMA must fulfill their contract or Paul will hold
up their payment. Paul told Joel he should pass this message on.
He has been more than fair, but if SMMA pushes him he will push
back.
PEER REVIEW
Tom said it is Chartwell ' s opinion after spot checking, there is
nothing more to be done by the Building Committee at this time .
Everything raised by the peer review team was taken care of by
the bid drawings .
FUTURE FIELDS
It had been requested that SMMA provide cost details . Paul had a
conference call on this issue and the cost of moving the fill was
not to our advantage. This item will be held open until they
receive a schedule of values from the contractor.
Steve said the contractor cannot remove any fill from the town
without the approval from the town.
SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT DISCHARGE PERMIT
The town put an add in today' s paper. They. will fax it to DEP
tomorrow and that will start the 35 day comment period. After
that DEP will issue the discharge permit.
Steve said the town may have to issue a discharge permit also .
Paul said the town issued a temporary waiver so they could issue
the Building Permit .
OPERATING COST ANALYSIS
Joel said they were surprised to see this on the agenda. SMMA
has performed operating cost analysis as asked for throughout the
job.
Paul said NO - SMMA' s scope of work requires that once the job
was completed they would do an analysis of the cost of operating
the building , including the grounds - a one time analysis .
This was brought up many times before and SMMA said it should be
done at the end of the project .
7
l
