MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY, AUGUST 29 , 1995 <br /> TOWN HALL <br /> Members present : Merry Sue Ahlgren, Bill Martiros , Paul Griffin, <br /> Peter Dinizio , Janice Mills , Joe Polito <br /> Also Present : Tom Wren, Ian Aitchison, Jim Byrne Joel Seeley, <br /> Dr. Lincoln DeMoura, Bill Hauck, Bob Barthelmes <br /> Meeting convened at 4 : 07 p.m. <br /> CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS REPORT <br /> Joel stated at the last meeting Stone was about 2 weeks behind, <br /> today they are 3-4 weeks behind. The catch up that was required <br /> has not happened. There has been some compliance with their <br /> action plan and some non compliance . There has been an extensive <br /> amount of work on the foundation walls but there is still a <br /> portion remaining . There is also fitting work which is not in . <br /> Will the steel be in by the 31st , probably not . <br /> Paul asked if they are behind on the slabs? <br /> Joe said Sec . E- administration is complete . They are behind on <br /> Sec . A . He has reason to believe that section will not be <br /> complete by Aug . 31st . <br /> Paul asked if there are any other pieces behind? <br /> Tom Wren said the fields are behind and will probably not be <br /> complete by Sept 6th. The temporary stockpile is preventing <br /> spreading of loam on northerly fields . They are ,missing full <br /> approval for seed , peat , fertilizer and lime . They have not <br /> started on the fields irrigation system and well which are on the <br /> critical path . They will have to make other arrangements to <br /> provide for water for the fields when seeded. <br /> Jim Byrne said Joel received a letter regarding the situation <br /> with overtime . Lawrence Lynch worked 2 of the 3 Saturdays ; they <br /> are attempting to keep their commitment to spread the loam. They <br /> chose not to work the last Saturday. <br /> Form Foundations company worked 1 Saturday with just the foreman <br /> on site and last Saturday they did not work at all . They <br /> sporadically worked 10 hour days ( 1 or 2 days per week) . <br /> He also thinks the completion date for the fields is in danger. <br /> Paul asked representatives from Stone , Mr. Barthelmes , what is <br /> going on? <br /> Mr. Barthelmes explained for foundations , there are 32 piers left <br /> to do and they are working on that . The auditorium section is <br /> behind . <br /> When they submitted their schedule , they did not receive a copy <br /> for review before it came to the town. The Aug . 31st date was <br /> 1 <br />
