MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 , 1995 Members Present : Merry Sue Ahlgren, Bill Martiros , Joe Polito , Paul Griffin, Steve Greelish, Peter Dinizio , Janice Mills Also present : Jim Byrne, Joel Seeley, Tom Wren, Dr. DeMoura, Bob Whritenour, Dr. Petti , Bill Hauck, John Williams Meeting convened at 4 : 05 **Paul made a motion to go into Executive Session to discuss legal issues and town council ' s advise regarding the Town' s contract with Stone Building company. The meeting will then re-convene in open session. Merry Sue seconded the motion. Bill in favor, Joe in favor, Steve in favor, Peter in favor, Paul in favor, Merry Sue in favor. Dr. DeMoura remained for the discussion. Janice Mills joined the meeting during the discussion. Janice distributed information on the National School Association' s Technology Convention to be held the end of October. Dr. DeMoura introduced John Williams , Mashpee High School Principal to the Committee . He will be a regular attendee at these meetings . Dr . DeMoura announced there will be a technology meeting with Michael Kirwin of CCR on September 21st at 1 : 00 , Dr. DeMoura' s office . Paul discussed the steel erection issue . Steel is scheduled to arrive on the site on September 18th. The building is divided into derricks . 5 derricks are in production or completed. The shop drawings for the 6th goes to SMMA tomorrow for approval . The remaining derricks will be going to SMMA by the end of the week. Paul believes the majority of it will happen on schedule . He has asked Stone to ask the steel manufacturer to expedite the remainder of the steel and to ask the erection company what they can do to reduce the erection time from 6 weeks to 4 weeks . The work will then be only 1 week behind. Change Orders : SMMA has only received partial information for the change orders . Stone had a problem with two of the subs , the landscaping contractor and electrical contractor. SMMA has sent a letter to all critical path subcontractors requiring them to attend next Wednesday' s job meeting . Paul wants to hear if they have any problems with their portion of the job. Stone ' s upper management will be there also . The scheduler was at the site today working on new software to produce a schedule every month showing what has been completed and what they will be doing in the next 30 days . After the job meeting they should have a new realistic schedule finalized . 1
