for the permit to begin. <br /> Mr. Kunar agreed but the process can be started. <br /> Paul said' it would be a good idea to ask the Board of Health who operates <br /> the other plants in town, since this person will only need to be part time . <br /> Steve said Dave Rich , Water District operates most of them. <br /> Paul asked Tom Wren to research this issue ( list of plants and operators ) . <br /> Dr. DeMoura mentioned that Sandwich has 3 plants and they contract out <br /> their operation. <br /> Paul asked if there is any advantage in looking at other plant manuals, or <br /> won' t they be similar? <br /> Mr. Kunar said it will give you an idea of what goes into them, but this <br /> plant is a different process . <br /> Steve said this Committee can do a lot of the footwork in gathering <br /> information to be incorporated - especially handling of the lab wastes . <br /> Peter suggested using the Cape Cod Commission technical staff, they offered <br /> to help come up with a plan . <br /> Tom Wren will contact them. He will get information to develop a spill <br /> prevention and response manual . <br /> Steve asked if we can extend the current services of Woodard and Curren? <br /> Paul said our contract with SMMA stipulates we can request they extend the <br /> services with them. The Committee should gather as much information as <br /> possible and then ask Woodard and Curren to put it all together. <br /> BLOCK <br /> The sample wall was supposed to be ready today but Stone could not get the <br /> exact mortar specified so it will be completed by the next meeting . The <br /> next meeting , Tuesday, September 26th will be at the site . <br /> CONTRACTORS ' S THIRD PAYMENT REQUISITION <br /> **Paul made a motion to forward to the Selectmen for payment Stone <br /> Building Company' s third payment requisition of $862 , 485 , certified <br /> by the architect . Merry Sue seconded the motion. ** <br /> Stone has presented all required waivers ' s to date . They have hired an <br /> administrator to put all this information together. <br /> ** All members were in favor 6-0** <br /> CHANGE ORDERS <br /> Joel explained 2 separate packages were issued. SMMA has received <br /> responses to portions of each package. <br /> 1 . Kitchen equipment , prices came in slightly higher than anticipated. <br /> 2 . Auditorium seat cushions , substantially lower. <br /> Merry Sue asked about the time frame for getting responses . She doesn' t <br /> mind them breaking it up but will it take more than the 21 days? <br /> Paul said because they a e behind in so many other areas , it is taking <br /> Stone longer to deliver a response. The Committee should have enough <br /> 3 <br />
