hearing . <br /> The Committee received a list of value added items to consider putting back <br /> into the project. Is there anything to add to that list? <br /> Merry Sue suggested irrigation for the playfields. The alternate choice was <br /> for irrigation around the building only . Everyone agreed . <br /> Peter suggested outdoor athletic lights, specifically for the football <br /> field. <br /> Merry Sue would like to see more money put into the landscaping budget; re- <br /> re-assess it. Consider putting groundcover back in instead of grass. <br /> Paul suggested getting a price for a synthetic track . <br /> Steve suggested having Dan Solien discuss the landscape issues with the <br /> Committee. <br /> He would like to see curtains added in the auditorium. <br /> Peter suggested cushioned seats in the auditorium. <br /> Paul said that was not just a cost issue, they were removed for maintenance <br /> purposes. <br /> Paul said the Committee will request prices from the contractor, if they <br /> get good deals, they will add it to the project, if no, they will move the <br /> money elsewhere. <br /> Merry Sue said that Jim Anderson from GESS thought the third gym was a good <br /> idea, why won ' t he let the wall go back in the main gym? <br /> Peter asked if a moveable wall will still be disallowed? <br /> Paul suggested the architects approach these questions with Jim Anderson in <br /> the future , when he has not been under attack regarding this project. <br /> Joe asked if anything was taken out of the high tech infrastructure? <br /> It was not, nothing was cut. <br /> Peter suggested dressing up the main lobby , putting the bluestone back. <br /> The Committee has to be careful not to make major changes , no changes in <br /> design . <br /> Peter also suggested caution , because a lot of this money is going to be <br /> used for FF &E. <br /> The Committee needs to review the budget numbers again . <br /> The Committee does not have a good handle on the FF & E budget . <br /> Paul asked SMMA to look at better lighting . He also suggested sensor <br /> lighting in the classrooms, lights that shut off if there is no activity . <br /> - Automatic flush toilets. <br /> - More tennis/basketball courts . <br /> Peter asked about more air conditioning , perhaps for one wing? <br /> Joel said you can add air conditioning to the present system. The cost for <br /> air conditioning the entire building was done at the schematic level . <br /> 5 <br />
