There is about $200 of items missing from that bid.
Paul explained that the well , for field irrigation, was tested
and still contains a little sand so it was unacceptable. They
will test it again in a few day.
Lawrence Lynch re-paved the main road, where required.
The fields are still a dilemma. The subcontractor is still not
performing. We have taken back all of the money previously paid
for the field work.
Paul explained Dan Solien has spent a lot of time here in the
last month. We may have a claim for additional fees from him,
which we will send to Stone. Paul asked Tom to have SMMA send a
letter to Stone regarding this issue.
Technology: the bid for software will go out next week.
Steve told Mike Kirwin if we don' t have the documentation first ,
he better hide.
Tom has received from Manny Tavares a list of all the furniture
which has been awarded in order to track deliveries.
Paul asked how we left the duel fuel issue?
Steve said if the Committee authorizes him, he will meet with the
Cape Cod Commission on this.
The Committee agreed.
John Williams explained he was supposed to meet with the
scoreboard manufacturer today but it had to be re-scheduled. If
it is over $10 , 000 , it will have to go to bid.
Acid neutralization tank: the Committee has received a ballpark
figure of $14 , 500 . A directive will be issued asap.
Dr. DeMoura explained that he preferred the acid neutralization
tank. He did research, talked with Leo Jolly and Frank Shea. In
order to not have one the school would have to have a sign over
each sink and have someone responsible for monitoring what went
into each sink have procedures storage g p dures inlace and disposal
P P
procedures . Because he cannot guarantee any of that, he felt the
acid neutralization tank was worth it.
Steve said the school will still be doing micro scaling, but the
tank is a safety measure . He thinks it is a good idea.
Peter wants to be sure we are not creating a regulatory problem
because the Cape Cod Commission preferred the tank.
Change Order #20
** Paul made a motion to forward to the Selectmen for their
approval change order #20 for $27 , 321 . for:
- additional bent steel plate at the cafeteria canopy
- fan coil unit
- plumbing pipe to the gym drinking fountain
5
