Joe seconded the motion. All members
were in favor 5-0**
- Paul explained that Stone is required to replace all lamps in .
the building upon substantial completion. Because power did not
go on until so late in the job, he is not sure it is in our best
interest to have them replaced. Instead , we should take lamps of
equal value . However, Stone ' s response only provides for
material , not labor which is a big part of replacement . He is
giving this to SMMA to review and respond.
- Paul said there are some rooms the Committee did not provide
any finish for: no paint or VCT. He would like to have Joel give
Stone a directive to paint them all .
ROAD IMPROVEMENTS
PA Landers is underway. Relocation of the poles is in progress
with NYNEX, there is no firm date yet. Jim has been talking to
them everyday.
Fields: Landers is to finish them by October 3rd.
The fence around the stadium may not be finished within Stone ' s
contract time of August 23rd.
Merry Sue asked when the track will go down?
Joel said they just received the shop drawings . Stone did not
submit the color range and SMMA would like to review the choices .
The material is approved.
Paul said they will probably ask Stone to provide a temporary
fence .
Irrigation is supposed to be finished this week.
Stone is doing the corrective work on the fields they are
obligated to do .
The Committee agreed they like the sign out front.
Acid neutralization tank: SMMA issued a CCD to Stone to put it
in. They won' t do it until A,B & E are substantially complete .
Paul said in order to get an occupancy permit , it is agreed the
sinks in the labs will not be used until the tank is in,
hopefully by October 1 .
6
