y <br /> r' <br /> MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE <br /> TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26 , 19996 <br /> HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING <br /> Present : Steve Greelish, Bill Martiros , Merry Sue Ahlgren, Janice Mills, <br /> Joe Polito , Peter Dinizio <br /> Also Present : Ian Aitchison, Tom Wren, Jim Byrne , Dr. DeMoura, Joel Seeley, <br /> Mike Pietrowski , John Williams , Michael Kirwin <br /> Steve Greelish called the meeting to order at 4 : 09 p.m. <br /> MINUTES <br /> ** Merry Sue made a motion to approve the minutes of November 12 , <br /> I <br /> 1996 . Joe seconded the motion. All members were in favor 5-0 . <br /> CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS <br /> Joel distributed minutes of a meeting on Nov. 15th between Stone and town <br /> officials . He reviewed item #2 , Bill Hauck' s conditions for issuing a <br /> temporary certificate of occupancy. <br /> Item #3 listed the work to be done before a temporary certificate of <br /> occupancy will be issued: <br /> 1 . the work has just commenced on fixing the floor drains in the kitchen. <br /> They are chipping away apoxy around the floor drains and putting down <br /> leveling material . <br /> 4 . kitchen inspection by the Board of Health has not been done yet . <br /> 6 . all corrections relative to Fire Dept . memo have not yet been completed. <br /> 13 . sound system testing : its on the punchlist but it has not been done <br /> yet . A sub is providing the testing equipment which won' t be available <br /> until the first week of December. <br /> 18. Paul is working with town counsel on the agreement . <br /> Stone said all these items would be completed by 11/25 , obviously that <br /> didn' t happen. Therefore the Building Inspector has re-scheduled his <br /> inspection for 12/2 . There is a new memo from him. <br /> Merry Sue asked why there is a 1 week delay from time of inspection to date <br /> the school can open? <br /> Jim said Bill Hauck wants 1 week leeway, in case something is not done . <br /> Bill Martiros asked about the railing on the second floor? <br /> Joel said Stone has been directed to do it but it hasn' t been done yet. <br /> Have the bathroom walls been repaired? It is a punchlist item but the work <br /> has not been done . Stone has not been paid for it . <br /> Steve asked about the routing of students with the fire door down? They <br /> will go through the double doors , use the corridor towards the art music <br /> rooms . To slow the fire door is $8 , 500 worth of work. <br /> John Williams asked if Bill Hauck will only go week by week, or will he <br /> come back for reinspection in a few days? <br /> Jim said he might if he is asked. <br /> Janice said time is of the essence now. 7 days is unfortunate . <br /> 1 <br />
