■ <br /> ■ <br /> ■ <br /> PARKING DURING THE SCHOOL DAY/EVENING <br /> • If you are in for a visit, e.g., volunteering in a classroom or attending a ■ <br /> meeting/appointment, etc., it is required that you park in the main parking lot. ■ <br /> • When picking up a sick child between the hours of 9:30am until 1:30pm you may park <br /> in the designated parking spaces in front of the building, if available; otherwise, park ■ <br /> in the main lot. Prior to and after the designated time, you must park in the main <br /> parking lot. ■ <br /> • Never park in the back playground lot near the school gym during the school ■ <br /> day. <br /> • For evening functions, parking is permitted in the main parking lot and the playground ■ <br /> lot. Also, spaces in front of the school are available, but no parking around the circle <br /> outside of designated parking areas. ■ <br /> • NO PARKING ANYWHERE AROUND THE CIRCLE (FIRE ZONE) or you <br /> may be ticketed. ■ <br /> ■ <br /> SCHOOL VANS ■ <br /> School vans will drive through the main parking lot and will drop off and pick up children <br /> at a rear entrance to the building. IT IS NOT PERMITTED TO PASS A VAN WHEN ■ <br /> THE STOP SIGN IS EXTENDED AND/OR FLASHING LIGHTS ARE ON. ■ <br /> POLICE TAKE NOTICE AND YOU MAY BE TICKETED. <br /> BICYCLES ■ <br /> Children in preschool to grade two are not permitted to ride bicycles to school. ■ <br /> ■ <br /> ABSOLUTELY NO VEHICLE ADMITTANCE AROUND THE BUILDING ■ <br /> (BACK ROAD) EXCEPTING SCHOOL VANS. <br /> NO VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED TO PARK OR GO THROUGH THE ■ <br /> PLAYGROUND AREA(S) DURING SCHOOL HOURS. ■ <br /> ■ <br /> SECTION III <br /> CONDUCT RULES <br /> ■ <br /> Staff Conduct <br /> Staff/student interactions: ■ <br /> • Staff will speak to and treat children and family members respectfully <br /> and with dignity. ■ <br /> • Classroom discipline will be positive and appropriate for student ■ <br /> growth and learning. <br /> • Staff will maintain confidentiality regarding their students. ■ <br /> • Whenever necessary, staff will communicate concerns to parents/guardians <br /> in an effective and timely manner. ■ <br /> • Staff will be sensitive in their interactions with students and their families. ■ <br /> 28 ■ <br /> ■ <br />
