COOMBS SCHOOL <br /> SCHOOL COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> September 30, 2008 <br /> Main Office Conference Room <br /> 3:30PM <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> The meeting was called to order at 3:30 PM. <br /> Present were : Donna Zaeske(Principal), Kim Richards (Assistant Principal) Kim <br /> Palmer (Teacher Representative), Deb Greene (Teacher Representative), Patti Kenny <br /> (Teacher Representative), Elizabeth Wilber(Teacher Representative), Barbara Cotton <br /> (Parent Representative), Liz Hendricks (Parent Representative), <br /> and Dan O'Neill (Parent Representative). <br /> I. No one was present for open forum. <br /> II. New council members were introduced. <br /> • Elizabeth Wilber will take notes. <br /> • "Duties and Responsibilities of School Councils" was handed out to and read by <br /> Council members. <br /> III.—School Council Goals: <br /> • Technology Plans for KCC <br /> KCC is behind with technology. Some of the issues raised were: <br /> • Working computers and printers. <br /> • Review of old equipment. <br /> • Priorities for 2009-2010 School Budget <br /> What basics do we need to cover curriculum? <br /> If we need something new- what would we give up in order to get it? <br /> Maybe the Library can be a mixed-use classroom (computers, etc.) <br /> Grade Level academic achievement goals. <br /> Do we want this group to have a goal? <br /> Could both schools be on the same time schedule? <br /> • School Committee Meeting on November 5`h: <br /> The KCC School Council should be represented at the meeting. <br /> IV. School Improvement Plan <br /> • Grade level goals align with the School Improvement Plan. <br />
