WELLNESS POLICY
Mashpee Public School District is committed to providing school environments that promote and
protect children's and adults' health, well-being and ability to learn by supporting healthy eating
and physical activity. All students shall strive to possess the knowledge and skills to make
nutritious food choices and appropriate physical activity choices for a life time. This policy will
be enforced in all schools. It must be noted that the district is a peanut-free provider.
The Kenneth C. These policies are developed to protect the health of Mashpee's school children. The
district acknowledges the vital need to provide a school environment that models health
promotion and takes action to combat the rising health risks in children. Together with
parents/guardians our children will be provided with the best possible health care.
57
