COOMBS SCHOOL <br /> SCHOOL COUNCIL <br /> THURSDAY,OCTOBER 30,2014 <br /> 3:00 P.M. - MAIN OFFICE CONFERENCE ROOM <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> In attendance: Wendy Lithwin,Jo Ann Nadeau,Tim Souza,Michelle Richmond,Matt <br /> Auger,Jennifer Christian,Elizabeth Estlick,Hope Hanscom,Tonna-Marie Rogers <br /> New Business: <br /> • The responsibility and composition of the School Council was reviewed. The <br /> board discussed the balance of parents to staff. The Council is nearly 50/50 at <br /> this time allowing for possible absences. It was agreed upon that the makeup of <br /> the Council is not an issue. Council Members will bring forth names of <br /> individuals to be considered as Community Representatives. <br /> • Potential future agenda items include: <br /> Accelerated programs for higher level learners and differentiation resources <br /> Enrollment age <br /> Parent communication <br /> Facebook page for school,monthly news letter <br /> Paperless transfer of information <br /> Technology Committee in school district <br /> • Parental concern with Sign-Up Genius. Parents have concerns with third party <br /> communication and feel that if families attended Open House they should have <br /> sign-up preference. <br /> Next Meeting: Tuesday, November 25,2014 <br />
