Approximately 800 people attended with 97% student participation. Projects included recycling, the water cycle and animal habitats. • Thank you to Meg Smith, Librarian, for inviting guest readers on World Reading Day to read to students. Distinguished readers included State Representative David Vieira, Superintendent Brian Hyde, School Committee Members Don Myers, David Bloomfield,Scott McGee; Curriculum Director Deb Goulart; Mashpee Librarian Janet Burke; Retired Coombs Librarian, Diane Kingsley Mashpee Police Officer Will Couzzo as well as several Coombs staff members. • Thank you to PTO for the wonderful St. Patrick's Dance AND for the outstanding March Madness fundraising event at QS. • Thank you to our grade one math volunteers working with students chosen by homeroom teachers based on effort, interest, achievement and attitude. • Thank you to our grade two senior reading volunteers who have committed to read designated students for the remainder of the school year. • Thanks you to Nurse Stacey and Mrs. Connor for hosting Breakfast: Make it a Smart Start along with an eye-opening nutrition presentation followed by fun activities.
