Shellfish Permits are not transferable to persons other than those allowed <br /> under :the following definitions : <br /> Non-Commercial (Family) Permits-Issued to a single majority-aged adult <br /> or to the head of a household for the express use of obtaining shellfish <br /> for personal use . Shellfish obtained under this permit may not be sold or <br /> traded for other considerations .A family permit is for the use of the <br /> permit holder ,his or her spouse and their minor aged children living and <br /> domiciled under their roof . Children under the age of sixteen must be <br /> accompanied by an adult member of the family .Only one permit issued to <br /> a family . <br /> Resident /Taxpayer permits are issued to persons who own a home , condominium <br /> or property in the Town of Mashpee and pays taxes to the Town, or who is a <br /> resident and domiciled in the Town . Proof of residency or ownership will be <br /> required to obtain a permit . <br /> Senior Citizen Resident/Taxpayer permits are issued to persons who are <br /> eligible under the above requirements and who will reach the age of 62 <br /> (sixty two) before April 1 , 1991 . (Birthday must fall on or before 3/31 /29 . ) <br /> Non-Resident /Taxpayer <br /> permits are i <br /> P ssued to an individual or head of a <br /> household who ° is a resident and domiciled in the Commonwealth of Mass . . <br /> Proof of Mass . residency will be required to obtain a permit . <br /> Commercial Permits-Issued to an`. individual who wishes to harvest shellfish <br /> for the purpose of sale or other consideration . Said individual must be <br /> sixteen years of age or older and and be domiciled or a full-time resident <br /> of the Town of Mashpee . Proof of residency will be required in order to <br /> obtain a permit .A current valid State of Massachusetts Bed Certificate <br /> (State Commercial Shellfish Permit ) must be obtained and presented prior to <br /> obtaining a Mashpee Commercial Permit . <br /> Special Oytser Permits-Issued to individuals for the express purpose of <br /> harvesting oysters under a special program of oyster propagation conducted <br /> by the Mashpee Shellfish Department , and special regulations issued by the <br /> Board of Selectmen . These permits are subject to the residency/taxpayer <br /> requirements and qualifications outlined under regular family permits . It <br /> is not necessary to obtain any other shellfish permit in order to obtain <br /> a Special Oyster Permit . 0ysters obtained under this permit are for non- <br /> commercial use and are not to be sold or traded for other considerations . 'I <br /> rticle 3 General Regulations , II <br /> ] • No shellfishing activity or landing of shellfish may occur during the I <br /> hours after sunset and before sunrise on the following day . <br /> 2• Any person( s ) engaged in shellfishing or having shellfish in their <br /> possession must have on thier person a valid Mashpee Shellfish Permit <br /> and a two inch shellfish-measuring ring . <br />
