MASHPEE SHELLFIS14 COMMISSION <br /> The Mashpee Shellfish Commission and the. Shellfish Constable recommends <br /> that the following areas be closed to all shellfishing activity (unless <br /> noted otherwise in the designation) to protect seed shellfish resources <br /> until further notice. <br /> In Waquoit Bay: <br /> 1. ) We recommend that Little River be closed to commercial shellfishing until <br /> furthur notice, to be effective April 15,1989. The boundry lines will consist <br /> of a line drawn. fron the southern tip of Monomoscoy Island in a westerly <br /> direction across to a sign on the shore of Seconsett Island, then north <br /> along the Mean High Water Mark to asign on the northern tip of Seconsett <br /> __Island, then in an easterly direction across the river to a sign on the <br /> bank on Monomoscoy Island, then along the Mean High Water Mark in a south- <br /> erly direction back to the sign on the southern tip of Monomoscoy Island. <br /> In Popponesset Bay: <br /> 2. ) All the waters and flats enclosed by a line drawn fron the chain link fence <br /> on Mashpee Neck to the east of the Mashpee Neck Boat Ramp along the Mean <br /> High Water. Mark in an easterly direction to a sign on the beach in front <br /> of 8 Frog Pond Close Road, then out approximately 50 feet to a white buoy with <br /> a red stripe, then back along the shore in a westerly direction in a line <br /> 50 feet offshore from and parallel to the Mean High Water Mark to a similar <br /> buoy placed offshore of the chain link fence, then back inshore to the chain <br /> link fence. <br /> 3. ) The waters and flats enclosed by a line from a point at the base of the <br /> pier at 126 Captains Row in an easterly direction around the point along <br /> the Mean High, Water Mark to a sign on the beach in front of 96 Captains <br /> Row, then in a straight line offshore from the sign to a white buoy with a <br /> red stripe, then in a south-westerly direction back around the point in a line ' <br /> of similar buoys to a buoy directly offshore from the pier at 126 Captains ' <br /> Row, then inshore to the base of the pier at 126 Captains Row. <br /> I, <br /> i <br /> I <br /> 31 7, <br /> ti <br /> _ LIAR 3 0 a. , <br />
