Moderator I will- not read the Article,, if <br /> You will permit me. <br /> I will ask for motion on the Article and' then an explanation. <br /> Chief Frye: I move Article 26 as printed. <br /> Motion seconded. ! <br /> Chief Frye : In 1981 the Police Department answered over 1000 false <br /> alarms. It is the policy of the Police Department to answer all alarms. <br /> You will-note in Section 4.6.7.3, in the Penalties; the Fire or Police ) <br /> Chief may in writing order after 3 or more false alarms ' <br /> a) To discontinue the use of the alarm <br /> b) May disconnect any direct connections to the <br /> Police or Fire Department <br /> c) May order that further connections to the <br /> communications console in the Police or Fire <br /> Station will be contingent upon the user equip- <br /> ping any alarm system with a device that will <br /> shut off any audible horn or bell within ten (10) <br /> minutes after activation of the alarm system. <br /> i' <br /> Chief Frye continues: I am willing to work with anyone who is having <br /> trouble with their alarms. If some one calls and says they are re- <br /> pairing, replacing etc, I will not discontinue it.
