To see if the Town will vote to delete <br /> from the 1980 Zoning By-Laws of the Town of Mashpee <br /> Section 12.6, "The Board of Appeals shall have the <br /> power to authorize a use or activity not otherwise per= <br /> mitted in the district in which the land or structure is <br /> located, but only upon the application of the standards <br /> i <br /> set forth in the General Laws of the Commonwealth for q, <br /> a grant of a variance. <br /> Submitted by I <br /> The Planning Board I <br /> Mr Terry: I move Article 30 as printed. <br /> Under the present zoning; even though you live in a residential area, <br /> it is possible for a business under the. auspices of the Appeals <br /> Board to be established in a residential zone. There could be a possible i <br /> abuse of the area. People should know that when they buy a certain piece <br /> of property in a certain zoneit will remain as zoned. <br /> Mr Muse: Does this mean persons coming before the Appeals will not <br /> be able to get any variance? <br /> Mr Terry: Yes. We are not talking about set-back requirements etc. it <br /> We are talking about the use of the nrocerty. We are talking about ,� f <br /> Commercial enterprises in a residential zone.
