Page.5.. Article 17. - .To see if the Town will vote to delete article 2.11 of the town by—laws and to add the following: T Article 2.11 Director of Public Works Section 2.11.1 = Team of office. The Selectmen shall appoint a Director of Public Works for a term not to exceed three years. Section 2.11. 2 Powers and duties. The Director of Public.Works shall under the direction of the Board of Selectmen, have full charge of all public ways, sidewalks, storm drains and maintenance of all town buildings and grounds, except those lards under control of the Conservation Commission. Section 2.11.3 Authority. The Director of Public Works is authorized to issue permits for _t work to be performed upon town highways, or sections thereof. So voted Article 18. To see if the Town will vote to substitute the words "director of public works" for the words "superi&� ndent of streets' or the word "director" for the word "superintendent" in the following sections of the town by-laws; Article 4.10; Section 4.10.1; 4.10.2; 4.10.4 -- =- - so voted Article 11. To see if the Town will vote to authorize and empower the Board of Selectmen to discontinue that part of Job's Fishing Road from the Southerly side of the Nathan S. Alis highway (Route 151) to the Westerly side of Falmouth Road (Route 28) as it presently exists and to authorize and empower the Board of Selectmen to accept a gift of land from Fields Point Corporation for the purpose of the layout and creation of a new public way over land of the said Fields Point Corporation from the Southerly side of Nathan S. Alis Highway (Route 151) to the Westerly side of Falmouth Road (Route 28), said Land to be defined and described on a plan suitable for recording at the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds as approved by the Planning Board and the Board of Selectmen, y - - - So voted. . .
